Moving to Singapore sounds like such an exciting activity. This is probably because Singapore is packed with a lot of opportunities. As a matter of fact some of the world’s top corporations are moving to Singapore a lot over the past few years. If you are one of the people who have gotten an opportunity to living in this country then you are probably lucky.

What is even more amazing is the fact that moving with your pet is so simple. The same cannot be said about pet migration and import into some other countries. It is a lengthy process that often involves a lot of moving from one office to another one. However moving to Singapore with dogs and cats is more like taking a walk in the park.

The only thing that you need to do is understand the process.

1.    Get anti rabies shots for your pet dog- pay a visit to your veterinarian and get the dog immunized against this horrid disease. You will be asked for the immunization card.

2.    Book a space at the Sembawang Animal Quarantine Station. This you should do at least two months before your pet is due to arrive in Singapore. The quarantine station is the largest in the country and the best of them all.

All pets that are coming into Singapore have to undergo a thirty day mandatory quarantine. Spaces in the Sembawang station are quite limited. Therefore, you should book in advance so that you can win your pet a space. You will be notified of this space a month before your pet is to arrive.

3.    Find an airline carrier that allows you to bring your dog along.

4.    Buy all the necessary items including a cage that is large enough and get medication for motion sickness for your pet.

Basically, this is all that you need to do when you are moving to Singapore with dogs. The same is the case if you want to bring in your cat.
